Need help updating drivers
First off, let me say that I'm an idiot when it comes to computers. I don't know practically anything about this stuff, so I've had no luck in trying to update drivers and processor. I want to play some different games with my friends, but they won't start. I finally figured out what my problem was; my graphics card doesn't meet the minimum requirements. I don't really know what that means, but I want to fix it. Please help. I'll post my system info below.

i7 Skylake 6700K / KFA2 Infin8 GTX970 Low Fps GAMING
So I've just updated my build to the following..
- i7 Skylake 6700K
- KFA2 Infin8 GTX970
- MSI Z170A-G45 Gaming Motherboard
- 8GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance
- Corsair H100i GTX Watercooler
- Kingston HyperX 125GB SSD [WITH STEAM / CSGO INSTALLED]
- 2TB Seagate Internal
And with CSGO on low and launch options on I'm only really getting around 170FPS..
Launch Options: -novid -tickrate 128 -language english -fullscreen +mat_queue_mode 2 -high -nojoy -threads 8 -nod3d9ex +cl_forcepreload 1
I'm not great with overclocking etc but using MSI Afterburner it's showing my CPU is at like 70+% and my GFX card is only around 40-50% both relatively cool with my GFX only at around 40c..
Any help would be massively appreciated and I have a feeling its something stupid and small but I'm not great with this..
Thank you!
Intel Utility won't find upgrades to drivers that are 1239 days old?
I have Intel (R) HD Graphics, and every time Utility scans, there isn't any updates. Obviously, there has to be an update for drivers that are 1239 days old. Games can't run correctly with drivers like these. Any help?

capture card signal status receives 1080p instead of 720p
Description | Provide a detailed description of the issue | I would like to record 720p footage from my Skylake computer. I am using a separate computer for recording with a capture card. In VirtualDub, looking at the custom properties the SIGNAL STATUS does not reflect the resolution on the Skylake system. It always shows 1920x1080P. I have tested the issue on non-Intel system and the SIGNAL STATUS was correct (1280x720P). So I assume some kind of signal protocol is missing from the Skylake driver. |

Graphics corruption in Fallout 4 since 1.3 patch
Since Fallout 4's 1.3(.47) patch, I (and many, many others) have been experiencing texture issues that make the game unplayable. I have an Iris 5100, but the problem seems to be universal across all Intel GPUs, regardless of hardware.
More images are in this gallery here. Basically, the textures stretch and warp, almost always obscuring your view and looking like a mess. It's interesting to note that this does not happen to player/character models, although it's difficult to discern what these textures originally were to begin with. Updating to the latest beta driver does not fix it (although I'd never seen the bright red texture glitch in the gallery before it, so... there's that).
I originally believed this to be a problem combining Apple hardware (I'm using a late-2013 rMBP) with the Intel GPU, which is not officially supported by Bethesda (the game's publisher), but since then I've encountered many people across the internet on other hardware who are encountering the same issue. In fact, there seems to be something about the 1.3 update that screwed up textures for a lot of people with integrated graphics, including those with AMD.
Someone will probably inevitably say that Apple has requested that all issues with their products should be directed through their support, but quite frankly, this doesn't seem like an Apple problem (and the Apple person I talked to agreed with me, saying they can only work to apply fixes within OS X). The game was made by Bethesda, runs solely in a Windows environment, and the common denominator seems to be the Intel GPU. Bethesda is aware of the problem, but are under no obligation to support users of hardware they never offered support to. While I don't know much about driver programming, I feel like this is an issue that will most likely be solved by you at Intel if it is solved at all. You also are under no obligation to solve the problem, and if you can't, no hard feelings (really). This GPU has felt like "the little graphics card that could", given the amount I've put it through, and this is the first game I've encountered that is entirely unplayable because of it.
I unknowingly solved the crashing problems already known by installing ENBoost, a utility that is known to boost performance -- for some reason it completely stops the crashing other Intel users have been experiencing. The game runs just fine on versions 1.1 (release) and 1.2, and I'm continuing to play the game thanks to downgrade patches, but any future content will be unavailable unless the issue is fixed.
I've attached the Intel SSU diagnostics, DxDiag, and DispDiag for reference, but a summary of my system specs is as follows: Macbook Pro Retina, Late-2013, Intel Core i5-4258U CPU @ 2.40GHz, Intel Iris Graphics 5100, 8GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro, graphics driver version 20.19.15.4380 (which I think is the beta driver? don't know what else it would be, since I turned auto-updates off and haven't installed another since). I was previously on the last stable release, which I found to run significantly better than the Apple-provided one that installs during Boot Camp.
Sorry for the info dump, I'm just really interested in helping to figure out a solution if possible. I know this has been posted about a few times as well, hope this isn't a problem as I didn't want to hijack any more threads. If there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know -- I'm hoping I'll be able to get some users not on Apple hardware to post their information as well. Thank you in advance!
PC constantly freezes, changing drivers seems to expand intervals
Hello,
As the title says, for the last 6 months I've had issues with my PC freezing (more like crashing actually, with the screen having graphical glitches), and recently, it seems that drivers affect on how long the intervals happen. 4380 and below range from 3 to 6 days, while the beta one, 15.40.20.4404, expands it to 2 weeks. Worth noting the freeze seems to happen roughly at the same time every X days, so not sure what to think of it, like it tries to do something and fails.
This might mean it's related to drivers, but not sure why I have it and (most) others don't.
I also have one other issue, but it might be related to the motherboard instead, namely, the PC won't boot until I leave it be for around 2 hours (the Pc is on, but black screen and no response from the mouse/keyboard).
I use i5 6600 with HD 530 and have an Asus z170m-plus board.
Intel HD 530 tearing problem
Hello
I have i5 6400T CPU with an integrated Intel HD 530. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium x64 operating system with latest graphic drivers, version 20.19.15.4352. There is a very noticeable tearing when playing video online, in the browser, e.g. on YouTube. ( tearing test @29.97 fps (1080p) - YouTube )
If I set Vertical synchronization (VSync) in graphic drivers option to "On", it has no effect.
I found out that if you use Aero in Windows, there will be no tearing, because it will enable "Desktop Window Manager" which utilize methods to prevent it. I can remove tearing in media player with its own VSync, but obviously no such option exist in an internet browser.
I find this very limiting, as I do not want to be forced into using Aero. On my previous system I had the same non-Aero theme with an integrated AMD GPU and there was no tearing, so it would seem it is a driver issue.
Is it possible this will be fixed in the next driver update?
Thank you.
Random partial rendering with Microsoft Photo Gallery
Hello,
Photo display with Microsoft Photo Gallery is randomly corrupted : when switching photo, part of the previous one can stay on screen, mostly on upper section. It looks like the next photo is not finished rendering before it is sent to display.
The problem appeared with 15.40.12.4326 beta, based on the versions I was able to find:
15.40.04.4256 | OK |
15.40.07.4279 | OK |
15.40.10.4300 | OK |
15.40.12.4326B | KO |
15.40.14.4352 | KO |
15.40.18.4380B | KO |
Rolling back to 4300 solves the problem.
Specs :
Intel i5-6600K (Intel HD Graphics 530)
ASUS Z170-A
DVI display
Windows 10 Pro 64
The problem is present with regular operating frequencies (CPU stock and RAM@2133MHz).
Changing the amount of RAM dedicated to video unit changes nothing (tried 32M to 512M).
It has been previously pointed out by posts in this forum, but with different hardware:
You will find a screenshot of the problem and Intel System Support Utility XML report attached.

HDMI audio bitstreaming (passthrough) not working with Hyper-V enabled on Windows 10
Intel NUC D54250WYK, Windows 10 Professional x64, latest drivers (Graphics: 4331; Intel Display Audio: 3182), Hyper-V enabled. Since several months (and through several drivers' versions) I'm struggling with passing the encoded movie audio (AC3, DTS) through HDMI. Everything's fine when not using Hyper-V. When it's enabled (and having it disabled is not a solution for me), it's a hit or miss approach to get working bitstreaming (MPC-HC, Plex; doesn't really matter) to my Yamaha receiver after booting. When I do manage to get it working by rebooting several times (haven't been able to find any pattern to that), it works only until any of the following happens:
- I log in remotely via RDP and then re-login locally
- I log in locally as another user
- some undefined amount of time (hours, days) passes, during which "something" breaks the pass-through functionality anyway.
After any of the above, I have to keep rebooting my OS until I get working bitstreaming again. Rinse and repeat, ad nauseam. It was working just fine up to Windows 8.1. Oddly enough, DTS-MA seems to work always, even when AC3 and DTS don't. Not cool.
HP Spectre 360 and Intel HD Graphics 520
My HP Spectre 360 I7 Win 10X64 has a graphics problem where it locks up and resets often when viewing online video and when running RealFlight 7.5 simulator software. HP Paid support notes this is a compatibility issue with Intel 520 software and Windows 10 software. Intel has a March revision that seems to cover the fix according to the file but I can not install it due to the customized version HP controls. Who has the lead in solving this other than the customers? HP, Intel, Microsoft? Is anything in work for a solution? Thanks.
Intel HD Graphics 5500 Blank Screen on Second Monitor after updating to newest driver
Hello!
I am using an HP Spectre x360 laptop with Intel HD Graphics 5500. After updating my graphics card driver, I can longer see my desktop (or anything for that matter) on a connected 2nd monitor or projector. I am using windows 10.
The laptop can detect the attached 2nd monitor, and it is even pulling in the monitor display name and resolution, but it will not show anything when I extend or clone to that second display. If I choose to extend monitor, I am able to move my mouse to the other screen, but it wont show on the second display.
I have tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling older drivers, but they do not seem to fix the problem either.
Any suggestions?
Display driver stopped responding and has recovered Intel HD Graphics 4400 Windows 10
I have an Acer Aspire E5-571 with intel core i5-4210U @ 1.70GHz with Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 with 8GB DDR3L RAM upgrade, a Samsung 850 evo 500GB SSD upgrade, windows 10, and might I add that I upgraded to windows 10 when I got my SSD and did a total clean install, so none of the manufacturer junk present. Whenever I launch a game or whenever a call is started in Skype this "Display driver stopped responding..."pops up and the program quits responding and I have to restart the program. I have yet to be able to call on Skype and have yet to play any of the games I have gotten. I have updated it to the newest drivers that it suggests, what the websites suggest, what the manufacturer suggest, and what several driver finding software suggest, and I still get the same message. I am currently running Driver Version: 20.19.15.4300 Driver Date: 10/1/2015. I also changed the TdrDelay time to 10 to try to let the program have enough time to load. I even reset and moved my RAM to different slots which was a suggestion that I found in my reading through some other forums and watching some videos. I also found that some people fixed the problem by disabling there Antivirus software, which I also tried, and also did not work. This problem has only started happening since I upgraded to windows 10, so I have a feeling that that has something to do with it. (Also my computer just recognizes my graphics as Intel(R) HD Graphics Family instead of Intel HD Graphics 4400, is it supposed to be recognized as that? how do I fix that?) Please help! I think it is a driver so if you can point me in the direction of the one I need to fix it or have Intel start on the fix that would be great, or if you have an answer that I am missing that I need to fix that would also be appreciated.
Thanks!
I need to find my graphics card drivers, but all it is telling me is "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family" and nothing else. I am trying to update them for Runescape's newest NXT Client but its giving me the fits, and I'm at my wits end, any ideas?

Intel HD 530 - Graphics Corruption in Mozilla Firefox
Hi,
I am experiencing random graphics corruption in Mozilla Firefox.
The issue:
Whenever I minimize Firefox and restore it, the Firefox window appears garbled and text appears to be illegible. Moving the mouse cursor over the affected areas, seems to bring the missing parts of the window into view.
Minimizing, maximizing, or resizing Firefox appears to correct the issue (until I minimize Firefox again and the issue reappears).
While this is annoying and impedes productivity, the graphics corruption is limited only to Firefox. However, since that is my main web browser, I would like to get the issue fixed asap.
Points to observe:
- My laptop has an Intel HD 530 graphics subsystem (running on an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor)
- The laptop also has a dedicated nVidia GeForce GTX 950M graphics card
- I am running Windows 10 Home (64-bit)
- The issue occurs only in Mozilla Firefox
- Mozilla does not list this as a known bug in their repository (as far as I can tell, I am the only one experiencing this issue)
- The corruption persists even after restarting the laptop or starting the machine from cold boot
- The issue occurs at random
- I have the latest version of Firefox (with all plugins updated)
- Creating a new Firefox profile (even with no add-ons installed) will not solve the corruption issue
- I have 2 versions of Microsoft Direct X installed (Direct X 12 and 9.0c for playing older games) but the issue persisted even before I installed version 9.0c
- I am running version 20.19.15.4360 of the Intel HD Graphics Driver (I have not updated the drivers nor have I tried any other version yet)
- I experienced a graphics corruption while typing this post and have attached a screenshot below to demonstrate my issue
Any help will be greatly appreciated...
(in the above screenshot, the complete top part is missing. If I were to move the mouse cursor over the affected areas, then some missing parts will reappear. Minimizing, maximizing, and resizing Firefox will also correct the issue temporarily)
How is the 'latest' driver version defined?
Hi,
my system :
i5 6600 (hd 530)
Windows 7 64 bit
according to the search results from Drivers & Software there are 2 non beta versions tagged as 'Latest'
and one tagged as 'Previously Released' but has the most recent relase date.
15.40.18.4380 (Latest) 3/11/2016
15.40.14.4352 (Latest) 12/23/2015
15.40.22.4424 (Previously Released) 4/22/2016
Windows update installs version 20.19.15.4352 second one in the list above I guess.
Intel Driver update utility recommends 15.40.18.4380 , first in the list.
But according to release date and the build number shouldn't it 15.40.22.4424 which is the 'Latest' driver ?

Bernd
Triple display only works when external monitors are connected in a specific order
I've posted something similar recently, but I just wanted to consolidate into one post.
Basically, triple display only works when the first monitor is connected to the laptop's built-in hdmi port first, then the 2nd monitor is connected to the usb-c-hdmi2.0 adapter.
Any other order, any other configuration involving displayport, will not work.
There's only one way you can get laptop screen + 4k@60hz + 4k@30hz triple display.
Here are my video demos---------
triple display on hdmi ports success - YouTube
triple display fail on hdmi ports. - YouTube
triple display attempt on hdmi and displayport fails #1 - YouTube
triple display attempt on hdmi and displayport fails #2 - YouTube
Dual display works in any configuration.
I bought 3 different adapters to try.
I used a usb-c hdmi adapter made by Kanex which supports 1080p@60hz and 4k@30hz, and set all screens to 1080p.
If the Kanex usb-c adapter is plugged in first, followed by the built-in hdmi port, triple display will not run.
If you reverse the order and plug in the built-in hdmi port first, followed by the Kanex usb-c adapter, then triple display will work.
The third usb-c hdmi adapter is made by Cellet, and it supports 4k@30hz. With this adapter, no matter what order you plug in the external monitors, the screens will blink every few seconds. In this case, Intel graphics control panel detects all 3 displays, but can't stabilize the configuration and keep it from blinking.

Updating Graphics 4600 Windows 10
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping I can find some answers here. I have an HP Omen which has the i7-4710HQ processor. Every now and then, the graphics display driver will crash with Windows explicitly advising me that the driver is for Windows. I also occasionally experience weird intermittent hangs. Well, I decided to do some research and see if the drivers needed updating - as per HP's website, there is no Windows 10 update from them to offer. However, support on the Intel Website says a different story. However, when I try to update the graphics driver using the new driver provided by Intel, I experience an error that essentially explains that since HP has customized the driver before, the installer is unable to install itself on top; even simply uninstalling the driver and trying to install the new one produces an error.
Has anyone else experienced the weird issues with crashes/hangs on a computer upgraded from Windows 8? How were they able to remedy this? Thanks for your help in advance.
