I think I solve the problem that Intel HD graphics can't output HDMI or DVI signal

My new computer

CPU i5 2500 k

MB Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3

Monitor ASUS MS246H

OS Windows 7 x64

Days before, I also have the same problem that so many guys have.
I can't get the output from 2500K via the HDMI port and DVI port after install the driver,
It's fine while using the DVI or HDMI port. But when I install the driver and reboot, there is no display after the screen "Windows Starting".I go into the safe mode uninstall the driver to using the system driver, everything just go fine after reboot. And when I using the VGA port from the MB,there is no problem after install driver.I try many kinds of drivers, the HDMI and DVI port also have no display.

Now I solve the problem using the method as below:
1.prepare a vga-vga line, and connect it from MB vga port to monitor vga port
2.connect a hdmi or dvi line from mb to monitor
3.select the monitor output mode to VGA
4.power on the PC and login the system (Now it's using the vga,so there is no problem)
5.install or reinstall the driver and DO NOT restart after the job is over.
6.press WIN+P and select the duplicate mode (the second one) and press enter to confirm.
7.right click on your desktop and select "screen resolution" ,that you will see your monitor is seperated into two parts (1|2)
8.then change your monitor output mode to HDMI or DVI,Is it working now?
9.remove the vga line, and the output form hdmi or dvi is good

10.reboot the PC and everything is OK

Hope this method is useful to you, thanks.

Integer texture support in Intel HD 4600

$

I am having a problem allocating 64x64 OpenGL textures of the format ALPHA16I_EXT (internal) / ALPHA_INTEGER_EXT.

GPU caps lists the GL_EXT_texture_integer extension as being available. The driver is 10.18.10.3345 (10-31-2013).

The machine is a Dell with a hybrid NVidia/Intel configuration.

My question is more a driver question than a dev question: should the HD 4600 support this texture format? Is there limited support?

Thanks.

HD4600 resolution problem with HP LA2405x monitor

So, this monitor is capable of 1920x1200, and indeed older Intel chipsets drive it just fine over VGA.

This chipset (inside a Dell E6540 laptop) will not recognize the resolution above 1920x1080.

Using the custom resolution app leads to a message "The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity."

Running the system info utility shows me that the mode is supported by the monitor. But notice the order of resolutions. This looks like a bug in the intel mode detection, possibly shared between both utilities.

Is there a fix or workaround for this?:

Dell Precision M3800 - HDMI output resolution 2560x1440 (Intel HD 4600)

$

0

Hi all,

I have a Dell Precision M3800 which i have connected to two DGM IPS-2701WPH LCD Monitors (native 2560x1440 60Hz). The Dell provides two video output ports 1 x mini DisplayPort and 1 x HDMI.

Both monitors will display out the native resolution while being powered off the MiniDP port. However from the HDMI port the laptop will only display to 1920x1080 and nothing higher.

Using a Apple MacBook Pro the monitors work fine using HDMI at the full 2560x1440 resolution. so i know it isnt a problem with the monitor end.

Things i have tried,

  1. customapp mapping a resolution to 2560x1440 at 30Hz = black screen, and anything higher (refresh rate) - i get a dialog box stating - The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity.
  2. updated to the latest Dell video driver
  3. manually installed the latest Intel Video Driver

None of these have resolved the issue. below is a copy of the Intel video report, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced

Using the latest drivers 10.18.10.3945 I tried out Arma 3 and after 10 minutes I crashed. It keeps happening every time I try. I looked around for fixed and it was to revert to a older patch. But I don't want to revert to a older driver and lose performance completely.

I cannot update my Intel HD 4000 driver. Whenever i intall it, it will say "This operating system is not supported". I even try to install manually but it's up to date eventhough its a 2012 driver. My laptop is HP and it is OEM. Tried finding solutions but cannot. 1 thing to note, i did a system recovery yesterday to factory settings. Before that i can install the driver.  I even check with the HP websites and it gave me 2012 drivers. Need help ASAP!

I've tried both the 3907 and 3621 to no avail.

The only option I currently have is by disabling my display adapters. Please help

Is the Celeron B820 GPU on the motherboard or in the CPU chip? I am wondering this because I am concerned about GPU temps while running Microsoft Flight Simulator X. The cpu and GPU actually runs the game pretty well for a Dual core. And would the computer shut off if the gpu overheated?

4K/UHD resolution on Haswell: HBR2 via DP supported?

$

Hi,

we are testing Haswell systems with new 28" UHD-resolution Display Samsung U28D590D.

This monitor has DP1.2 and HDMI 1.4a inputs.

As expected, 3840x2160@30Hz works via HDMI on Haswell platforms.

Unfortunately, via DisplayPort, no 4K resolution works with this display.

Via DP, Haswell until now only seems to be able to use Multi-Stream Transport (MST) to display 3840x2160@60Hz.

With Single Stream (SST), only 3840x2160@30Hz seems to be possible.

The Samsung U28D590D seems to expect High Bitrate 2 mode with 5.4 GT/s via DP (HBR2).

According to datasheets, Haswell (4th gen Core i) does support HBR2.  But is it really usable?

igfxCUIService.exe crashing - Intel 4600 Graphics related

Hey. I recently put together a computer with a 4970k processor and Intel 4600 Graphics. However, my computer has been freezing randomly and crashing due to the graphics conflicting with my additional R9 295x2 Graphics card. My OS is Windows 8.1, 64-bit. I have installed the most recent drivers for the 4600 as well as the most recent stable AMD drivers for the R9 295x2. I do not see the Intel 4600 Graphics in my Hardware List, so I cannot disable them. I have told my motherboard's BIOS to use the PCIE graphics card as the main card, and yet my system continues to freeze and crash. Today alone I have had four crashes due to this issue. How can I solve this issue?

Keep integrated graphics active without monitor connected?

$

Hi. From what I've been able to gather, my CPU's (i7 3770) integrated graphics won't kick in without a monitor connected. The way I've worked around this is by using Microsoft's RDP which apparently makes the integrated graphics kick in. Under screen resolution on my Windows 8.1 machine I can see that before I connect with RDP it says "Display device on: VGA" and after I connect it says "Unknown Monitor on RPUDD Chained DD".  I am not able to physically connect a monitor to this machine, nor a dummy plug, and so I am looking for a way to keep my integrated graphics on even outside of RDP. Currently the application I am running on my machine, a 3D accelerated one, will stop functioning correctly when I quit my RDP session and the display reverts back to "Display device on: VGA".

So the question is if I can keep the integrated graphics on my CPU functioning even without a monitor connected, when the display shows as "Display device on: VGA".

Thank you.

Hey ho,
Two weeks ago i'v re installed my computer. Before one week i re-installed Battlefield 4 and i startet playing. I noticed a error message that told me that there is not enough memory is available. I'v never had this error before. After 2 weeks of testing and finding the problem i noticed that everytime i run a game at another resolution than my desktop resolution my virtual memory is linea filling up to 100%. After it reaches the 100% mark, the Windows Error message shows up and it wants me to close the game that i'm playing. If i run the game at the same resolution than the desktop resolution or in windowed mod this doesnt happen. If i switch back to the desktop, the virtuel memory is will be cleared again.

What i'v already tried:

  • Re-installed DirectX
  • Repaire Visual Studio 2013
  • Cleaned and re-installed Nvidia and Intel HD drivers
  • Used a old version of Nvidia drivers
  • Used a old version of Intel HD drivers
  • Re-installed Windows 8 Intel chipset drivers and sata
  • Different amounts of virtual memory
  • Moved the virtual memory from sdd to hdd
  • Checkdisc
  • Re-installed the games
  • Checked memory usage and programms
  • De-installed Avira AntiVir
  • Re-installed Windows 8.1

HD 4600 + driver 10.18.10.3907 crashes ingame

When I attempt to play the game OpenRA (OpenRA - Home), the graphics driver crashes completely, taking out with it the Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) but eventually recovering.

The game performed fine on the previous driver version. The game developers say Intel is at fault, since no changes were made on their end. Again, the game works fine under previous drivers.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit SP1, with the latest drivers for all hardware including BIOS/UEFI. Everything is up-to-date.

Any ideas as to when we can expect a driver update?

On the Deos, we need to complete OpenGL SC1.0 hardware implementation and GPU driver development, but we have no experience  in this regard. I'm very eager to get some help from the community to provide us some methods and advice and assess workload for graphics display development!

    Thank you!
