I have a problem with my asus N550JV. Every time i plug my monitor into my laptop the HD Graphics driver keeps resetting. I have used the same setup for a few months now and i didnt have this problem untill today. i already updated the drivers but this didnt fix the problem. Any help would be welcome!

I have recently buyed an Aspire Switch 10, which uses an Intel Atom processor and Intel HD graphics. I have connected the system to a TV through HDMI and I want to duplicate the image both on the PC and on the TV. However, the problem that I have is that the TV shows huge black borders. This is because I cannot set the TV to scale the image to full screen. I have updated the drivers of the graphics adaptor and I still have the same problem. In the Intel Control Panel, the only option for the TV is to center the image.
It’s very annoying, since I have another cheaper devices which can scale the image through HDMI without problems.
Can you give me any solution?

Hello, I am running an IBuyPower Revolt with Intel Core i5 processor and Intel HD Graphics 4600 for school, work, and recreational use (mostly gaming.) I have already checked and I have the latest drivers for the graphics chip, but I've been encountering a strange problem.
While watching videos online, visiting sites, and playing 99% of my games everything is perfect, but just recently playing Team Fortress 2 through Steam has become difficult. Occasionally - and by that I mean typically 1 or 2 times per session - my game's video will freeze at a certain point. The game is still active, all sounds such as shots or movement can be heard, but the screen freezes. I have tried minimizing the game, alt+tabbing, using task manager, but nothing seems to work. The graphics freeze and I am forced to navigate the menus, blind, and exit the game manually. Restarting the game I may experience the same freeze again or it may not occur until my next session. I'm fairly certain it's not a problem with steam or TF2, because none of the community or friends of mine have witnessed the same thing. I'm not quite sure what the problem is, but any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for the assistance.

For the past two months since I got my laptop, I have been experiencing random screen flickering accompanied by the message "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 8.1(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I haven't managed to find a pattern to its crashes. I can be playing a game, watching a video, or writing an email and the screens (laptop with external monitor) will randomly flicker and sometimes display the message after an additional prolonged blackout. None of the BIOS or driver updates seem to be applicable to this issue. System information is as follows. Any help is greatly appreciated.

CPU: Intel i5-4210U 1.70 GHz

I haven't overclocked anything or changed any graphics properties other than setting the GeForce as the global default (the Intel is still in charge of the secondary monitor for some reason). My computer is still under warranty, so I'd like to make sure this isn't a motherboard/CPU/Intel GPU issue soon.
This is not a major issue, but it definitely impacts user experience. It has been noticed while playing the USA locale of both Quake for Saturn and Sonic Jam collection.
Prerequisites:

The issue is reproducible with both Ver0.12 beta R4 and test version.

3. A disk image mounting software. SSF can only read from real CDs. This is needed only if have game as disk image.
I will not enter in large details about the issue since I attached 2 videos. I'll just list the issues to easily spot them while watching the video:
Issues on Quake 1:
-strange lines over weapon and sky that repeatedly appear and disappear;
-if you pause game while looking at the sky a parallelepiped-shaped figure is drawned. It should be invisible.
Issues on Sonic Jam:
-strange lines appear when browsing the digital manual. Reproducible with any game in collection.
-strange lines also appear for a split second when entering Sonic World, when sky is visible (smaller video).
Notes:
-In the videos I used a batch file I created to automatically and quickly switch games;
-I tested this issue with a large number of drivers: 9.17.10.2867, 9,17.10.3071, 9.17.10.3347, 10.18.10.3621, 10.18.10.3945, 10.18.10.3958 and latest 10.18.10.4061.
-This issue does not occur on 2nd generation Intel Core processors for example.
-SSF is not open-source unfortunately.
Getting started with SSF:
-Open SSF and navigate in menu to Option - Option;
-In Peripheral tab
1. select CD Drive where the game is inserted (changes take effect after SSF restart);
2. select the Area code matching the games locales;
3. Data cartridge is not needed.
-In controller tab:
1. Hit redefine under Player 1:A. This maps keyboard keys to Saturn buttons. These mappings can be adjusted per game, if that game is running when redefine is initiated.

completly fresh installed pc with all up to date drivers or the latest from the asrock page. i to installed the newest intel hd4000 driver, but with no effect at all. it seems that it doesnt matter what kind of game i play. i tried heroes of the storm, minecraft and league of legends. everytime the pc freezes and i need reset it the hard way...
i have red the whole thread here and did everything ppl here did to solve the problem, nothing helped. i already contacted the asrock support yesterday, so i need to wait to get an answer, if i get one. at least its so dam hard annoying i cant do anything which needs 3d.... i had another board before the asrock, asus p8 z77-v and all worked fine....i then switched to the asrock (cause i somehow broke the asus) and nothing is working regarding 3d

I'm on an HD 4000, Windows 8.1, latest drivers.
When using Miracast to view static photos I see "detail pumping". Looks like the video stream alternates between multiple smeared frames (lower quality delta frames, presumably), then a better detail frame (a keyframe). I don't see a reason for static images to degrade after they reach their full quality.
Are video encoding choices up to the sender? Can this be improved through drivers?

I have a problem of update:
Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Intel NUC 10.18.10.3621 (Latest)
When I install Windows 7 64bit on my DN2820FYKH and update this Graphics software just works normally and shows resolution to 1920 x 1080.
But if I install Windows 8.1 64 bit graphics software update after I get black screen on my monitor screen. also restart does not work ...
Also, Windows 10 I have given windows microsoft feedback, but no screen after update of graphics software from DN2820FYKH.
I also installs latest chipset version. But I think the monitor is G245HQ driver problem. so hopefully that intel graphics software is an update or fix it. It is unfortunate that only Windows 7 64bit does work.

I've got the problem with brightness control on my laptop. Now it's only 100% brightness and all methods from this forum or other else doesn't resolved this issue.
When I try to increase\decrease brightness (Fn+F4 \ Fn+F5) - it's changed only in Windows settings (see attached fig.1)
1. Adaptive brightness in Windows Power settings is SWITCHED OFF.
2. When I choose the Default Windows video driver - brightness control works perfect.
3. With Windows 8 and old Intel driver - it was worked, but now it's Widows 8.1)
So, I'm sure the issue with Intel HD 400 drivers. Please help me to resolve!

卡顿指笔记本总是莫名其妙且随机出现的卡顿,具体表现是:
1.有时无法开机,睡醒后无法唤醒,容易蓝屏
2.总是突然卡顿,换固态硬盘后更容易碰到.
3. 文件系统会突然消失
ps:操作系统尝试过win8,win8.1,Ubuntu14.01,fedora20/21,centos7,均碰到卡顿问题.
维修路线:硬盘坏道检查(无坏道)->换机械硬盘->换主板->换固态硬盘(三星 850 Pro)->换内存,全部方法都无法解决,后来送到华硕总厂检测说"是intel节能模式导致的,我们无法处理".
请问针对这种情况,你们intel有好的处理方法吗?
How can you remove this scaling nonsense from graphics ?
It does not work in all applications, fx. in "Company of Heroes 2" program it just adds giant black borders instead of the selected resolution in the application´s video options. It is possible to change the desktop resolution first and then run "Company of Heroes 2" with matching resolution, but it´s a nuisance.
You can select to center image of desktop in intel graphics advance settings control panel scaling with a low resolution and then you get a tiny desktop on a large black screen. It obviously effects the default settings for windows that don´t have this useless setting. So how can you get the intel hd graphics driver without this scaling crap, so applications can run normal also in lower resolutions ?

Hi,
I have a new HP with an i5 and HD4600 graphics. The displayport does not appear to be working. I currently have one monitor (Dell P2213) using VGA, however I have a second and I want to use display port on both.
When I plug in the second display with DP, the first screen just goes black. The mouse is there and can move it but it can't do anything. Keyboard is still responsive, but I can't see what I am doing. When I remove the cable and return to the first display, the windows have been resized.
I've updated to the latest drivers through the Intel Update manager. Still not working.
Please help.

A picture says it all. Notice the pixels and tearing on the down right side. Any one can guide to a solution to avoid the problems except "avoid overloading to 100% capacity" ?
