My motherboard is Asus H81M-E, processor Intel Core i3 4150 @3.50ghz, graphics memory: 2 GB built in(Intel hd 4400) and the latest driver of this driver in Asus website is V10.18.10.3412.. But intel is updating the driver regularly..

Capture.JPG

I installed Intel's latest driver for this hardware and all the benchmarking software even CPU-Z shows that my graphics memory is only 1024 MB ..But when I install the driver provided by Asus, all these softwares show the correct information(2048MB).. I can use the Asus provided driver but it's too old(released on 2014/3/14) ..they don't update regularly..Then what's the problem of the driver provied by Intel??what's the root of this problem?Do I have to stay with the old one? Thanks in advance.

*dxdiag report is in the attachment while installed  the driver provided by Asus.

HDMI audio drops out when receiver is turned off

$

I saw a big thread about issues with HDMI audio but it doesn't seem to be the same as mine so I thought I would ask here.

I have a WIn7 PC/HTPC using Intel HD Graphics 4600.  The PC goes to a Yamaha receiver via HDMI which in turn goes to an LG TV via HDMI.

There has always been a mildly annoying issue where the audio drops out in between uses (never during.)  The audio device is usually LG TV (Intel Display Audio) and when it drops out that disappears entirely and the speaker icon in the tray has the red error icon on it (I disabled some unused optical device options.)  A reboot has always fixed the problem so I didn't worry too much, but tonight I tried to pinpoint the issue.  I didn't know the precise cause so I did some testing and determined that the audio drop out happens when the Yamaha receiver is turned off.  I can change receiver inputs or turn the TV off but once the receiver is switched off and back on again, the PC audio is gone.  The PC is rarely turned off but the TV and receiver get turned off every night.

I updated the 4600 driver and it still happens, however I stumbled across an easier fix than a reboot.  I open the Intel Control Panel, select Display, then select Audio Settings from the drop down menu.  The only option is Audio Without Video, and changing this has no effect stopping the dropouts, however if I change the option from enabled to disabled or vice versa, then hit cancel, the red icon on the speaker in the tray suddenly disappears and my sound is restored.  This makes no sense to me and it's still annoying but at least I won't have to reboot anymore.

Does anyone have any other solutions?  Usually for these issues I can find a solution on Google within minutes, but for this particular problem it seems quite difficult to locate a relevant answer anywhere, and I looked quite a bit.  Like I said, I saw threads with similar questions but none the same. e.g. some said switching the receiver on and off resolved it (in my case that's the cause.)  Am I right to assume it's a driver issue given that making unsaved changes in the Intel Control Panel reassesses it and reinstates the sound?

Apologies if this is a known issue or if there are some relevant threads I couldn't find.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 after update graphic, black screen on my Intel Nuc DN2820FYKH, monitor acer G245HQ

Best Intel,

I have a problem of update:

Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Intel NUC 10.18.10.3621 (Latest)

When I install Windows 7 64bit on my DN2820FYKH and update this Graphics software just works normally and shows resolution to 1920 x 1080.

But if I install Windows 8.1 64 bit graphics software update after I get black screen on my monitor screen. also restart does not work ...

Also, Windows 10 I have given windows microsoft feedback, but no screen after update of graphics software from DN2820FYKH.

I also installs latest chipset version. But I think the monitor is G245HQ driver problem. so hopefully that intel graphics software is an update or fix it. It is unfortunate that only Windows 7 64bit does work.

Thanks You if reply.

It appears that Intel drivers 15.33.30.64.3958 or 15.36.7.64.3960 both installed on Surface Pro 3 over the 3496 driver that is most recent from Microsoft. Most of the newer builds don't however since they are tagged for a specific SUBSYS device ID?

Can someone detail the differences between the 15.33 and 15.36 branches of drivers? Beyond base drivers is there some difference between them? Both support:

Having trouble with the GoPro camera Studio software and GoPro asked for some system info and then recommended that I upgrade the driver version. However, every way I've tried to do it, the version never changes. When I use the Intel Driver Update Utility, I simply get the message: Failed after it says "installing" for a minute or two and then the screen goes black for a couple seconds before appearing again. Help?

Intel Iris 3D resolution issue?

$

Hi guys.

I recently brought a 2014 Apple Mac Mini to use as an HTPC which has the intel Iris 5100.

Although it seems to work fine for 2D, I have a problem when I playback 3D content. It switches automatically from 1080p 23.976 to 1080p 3D 24 (not 23.976) which causes periodic hickups.

Does anyone have any solution to this? I run Windows 8.1 and have installed the latest intel drivers (15.36.7.64.3960).

My displays are a JVC X500 and a Panasonic ST50 connected through a Lumagen XD scaler. My older HTPC (with an Nvidia 430 card) does not have any such issue.

Thanks!

Hi, I have an Atom-powered ASUS T100 tablet, all drivers and BIOS up to date. My problem is that every now and then when I'm browsing the Internet using IE I am suddenly logged off! I can see an entry in System Events that says "The Desktop Window Manager has encountered a fatal error (0x8898008d)". My best guess is that graphics driver is not 100% compatible with Windows 8.1, or maybe is somewhat buggy. What can we do about it?

I can post the dxdiag log if necessary. Here's the event info:

"Lack of updated graphics drivers" - but latest installed

I recently upgraded my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop from Vista to Win 7. Minecraft worked before upgrading it. I've re-installed Minecraft, but when I try and run it I get a "Lack of updated graphics drivers" message.

However, when I run the Intel Device Driver update, it comes up blank - suggesting there's nothing that needs upgrading. When I open Device Manager\Display adapters and click on "Mobile Intel 45 Express Chipset Family" (the only entry there) and click on "Update Driver" it also tells me I've got the latest version installed.

Any suggestions?

Blackboarders around games

$

Hello,

The last few updates made playing games very difficult. I can no longer play fullscreen on smaller resolutions. Instead it puts black boarders around the screen, which hurts my head and makes playing a matter of getting sick. I have tried everything. Updating to latest drivers, uninstalling, reboot and reinstalling, checking settings on the Intel Graphics Panel, in game option switch in and out and "tricks" to get my games to go fullscreen but nothing works. All of my games have this problem, it isn't just a few of them. I mainly care about it effecting my Battlefield games, America's Army: Proving Grounds, Alien: Isolation and SWTOR (Star Wars: The Old Republic)  but it would be nice to play all my games like I could a few updates ago.

If anyone could help me, that'd be much appreciated!

Thank you!

P.S

Intel HD Graphics have come a long way. Intel's later iGPUs will make gaming on iGPU entirely possible!

HD4600 UHD Displayport MST

Hi!

I have a Panasonic TX-65AXW804 UHD TV and I connected it via displayport to my pc.

The problem is that with UHD (3840x2160) resolution I can only select 60Hz. But the TV can also 24Hz and so on.

At 1920x1080 I can select all refresh modes but the TV stays black.

When I switch the displayport to SST on the TV side, I can select all modes correctly according to the specs:

All FullHD modes and UHD at 30Hz (maximum for single stream) and it works.

With older drivers, the PC show me the TV as 2 different Monitors.

So it looks like the driver dont detect the TV correctly in MST mode.

Hi

I met with an issue that:

I connect to my external screen using VGA cable. When switching to duplicated mode, the screen resolution setting is grey and can’t be adjusted. The issue happens with HD Graphics 4000 with both driver version 2932 and 2849.  And it doesn’t happen with Intel HD Graphics 3000 or other none-intel graphic card platforms.

OS is win8 64bit. Does anyone met with such kind of issue also?

4600 constant graphics driver crash

Hi everyone,

I built my PC last year with the following configuration:

  • Intel Core i3-4360
  • ASRock H81M-HDS LGA 1150 mATX Intel Motherboard
  • HyperX Fury Black Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model HX316C10FBK2/8
  • Crucial M500
  • Inland Gold Series ILG-400-2 400 Watt ATX Power Supply
  • Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, later moved to Windows 8.1 64-bit
  • Dual monitor setup through HDMI and DVI. Sound through HDMI to the built-in speakers in the monitor

Ever since I built it I've been having constant graphics driver crashes and I would get the popup of "Graphics display driver has stopped working and has recovered". The problem will arise constantly whenever there's some kind of strain on the integrated graphics from the CPU. The thing that is really annoying is that the strain it takes to crash it is ridiculously low: watching videos on my HDD, online videos, whenever there's a website with GIFs, even when I scroll down a website "fast")

At first I talked to Intel and ASRock support. They both suggested installing and uninstalling different versions of the Intel graphics driver (ASRock website, from Intel's website and from other websites as well). Then both Intel and ASRock suggested it could just be corrupted OS installation, so I went and performed a clean install of Windows 8.1 64-bit. The problem persisted.

Intel's support then proposed to run a diagnostic test on the CPU with their own tool: Flawless according to the software. Then they suggested a RAM diagnostic tool: no problem as well.

I kept trying with different driver ans the problem persisted. Finally I ended up sending my motherboard to ASRock for service since it's still under warranty. I got it back yesterday and assembled my PC back only to find that the problem persisted. I updated the drivers to ASRock's website driver again without success, and then updated to the latest driver for the 4600 HD from Intel's website with the same results.

Can someone think of anything else to do here? My BIOS is up to date, all the other drivers in my computer are as well. The computer works perfectly and is blazing fast. The only problem I run into is the annoying constant graphics driver crashing.

Please help

My Intel Hd Graphics 4600 is being used by programs instead of Nvidia GTX 765M.

Running Premier Pro CC 2014.2

I've been having an absolute nightmare trying to get all the components of my laptop to play nicely together. For some reason Premier Pro won't seem to recognize my Nvidia card and is solely using the Intel 4000, which is preventing any and all video playback within the application. Even when I go into the Nvidia control panel and switch the global and program settings for Premiere to the Nvidia card it only seems to read the Intel 4000. I've spent the last 10 days trying to fix this problem via Adobe forums, Nvidia forums, MSI forums, Windows forums, chat support with Adobe and Windows and it seems the problem lies somewhere between the Intel 4000, Windows 8.1, Premier 2014.2, and the installed Directx version. The Nvidia control panel and the Windows Directx diagnostic tool both show me using Directx version 11.0, but the Intel Graphics control panel shows me using version 11.2, and says that that my Intel hardware only supports up to version 11.1 (pictured below). Why is The Intel CP showing a different version of Directx compared to the Nvidia CP and the windows Directx diagnostic tool? Through 2 days of chat support, Adobe and Windows have both narrowed this down to a problem with the Intel Graphics/Directx version problem. I can't role back the version of Directx and I have the most up to date Intel 4000 driver suggested by my laptop manufacturer (MSI). Adobe disabled my Intel 4000 which allowed me to view video in Premiere Pro 2014 and use the Mercury Playback CUDA from my Nvidia card, but then I wasn't able to use my second monitor which seems to only work with the Intel 4000, which I have to have for color correction. The system was also acting very strange after he disabled the Intel GPU so I've done a complete factory reset and reinstall of Windows 8.1 and the Adobe Software. After that I'm still having the same problem as before but I don't want to use the terrible "disable the Intel" workaround. There are tons of other people in the Adobe and gaming forums all having nearly the same problem with the Intel 4000 not switching over to the Nvidia card. Some are remedied by going back to Windows 8 or 7, some by going back to the earlier version of Premiere Pro, but nobody can seem to figure out the problem using the latest versions of both Windows 8.1 & Premiere Pro 2014.2.

I've included a screen shot of my Nvidia CP, the Directx Diagnostic Tool, and the Intel Graphics CP showing the different versions of Directx.

Not that it makes any difference but I'm a video editor and tomorrow makes 11 days of not being able to work, so ANY help from the Intel Community would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Anthony
