NEED HELP CUSTOM RESOLUTION
Hello everyone, I always plug my laptop into my tv via hdmi and I happen to plug my laptop into another tv then plug it back into my original one and the resolution is messed up. Before I had to create a custom resolution but now since updating the settings and ways to do that have drastically changed and at this point I have tried everything to get it to fit my screen. None of the display options work in intel or windows, I have tried extending screens, I have updated my driver, and nothing is working. There is not an option on my tv and before I was able to make it fit my tv through my laptop. So if anyone knows something I can download or how to manipulate screens well please help thank you.

False multiple monitors with intel drivers
I have an Asus UX501J that use Intel HD Graphics 4600. Usually I connect 2 extra monitors. Today I came back to my computer and all displays was in chaos. My main screen was in 4K duplicated with some other screen that do not exist. In total my driver is telling me I have 7 monitors. See my screen dump. No use to update the driver. This is the latest.

HD 620 HDMI Problem
Hello community,
I've recently bought 2 Lenovo laptops with the following spec.
- THINKPAD® E470 20H2S00500 (Intel® Core™ i3-7100U (2.40 GHz), 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, Intel® HD 620)
- THINKPAD® E470 20H2S00700 (Intel® Core™ i7-7500U (2.70 - 3.50 GHz), 256GB SSD, 16GB RAM, Intel® HD 620 + NVIDIA® GeForce™ 940MX 2GB)
Both of them are running Win10 Professional.
When trying to connect either one of them to my TV via HDMI, the TV recognizes the laptop but not vice versa. I am able to choose the screen selection modes (Duplicate, Extend,...) but nothing happens upon selection. When I try the "recognize monitor" function in system controls, no other monitor then the laptop screen is found. All drivers are updated to the newest ones available including BIOS updates. It seems as if the HDMI-port is somehow inactive.
Do you know how the fix this?
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Rob
Intel HD Graphics 620 - 4k TV not working
Hi,
I'm trying to connect my laptop with Intel HD 620 to a 4K Samsung TV using HDMI.
My laptop is a Acer Swift 3.
Every since your last graphics update my TV only produces a black screen.
The computer sees the TV but when I try changing either HZ or resolution the whole computer freezes and I need to force it off.
What can be wrong?

Driver confusion Intel HD Graphics 620
Hey,
I'm a little confused which graphics driver I should install on my Dell XPS 13. The CPU is a i7-7500U with an Intel HD 620 graphics chip.
According to the Intel Graphics Control Panel I'm using the driver version 22.20.16.4771. But according to the Intel download page the latest driver for the HD 620 is the version 15.60.0.4849.
Can you tell me what the differences between the versions 15.60.0.4849 and 22.20.16.4771 are? And which one should I use?
Thank you!
USB-C Display PnP not working with Lenovo Yoga 920 (Intel 620 graphics)
Hello,
Last month I bought a new Lenovo Yoga 920, which has an i7-8550U w/Intel 620 graphics and 2 USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports. The laptop is advertised as supporting DisplayPort Alternative Modes over USB-C.
Like many other owners of this laptop (Yoga 920 USB C to HDMI not working - Lenovo Community ), I've found that driving an external display over the UBS-C is very challenging. This creates real problems as this is a work machine for me and I need to be able to quickly change displays when meeting with clients, etc.
I've tried multiple adapters with external displays and, universally, I find that I an not able to make external displays work in a plug-n-play fashion. This is with the latest Lenovo provided bios & drivers, and Windows 10 home updates (fall creators).
I'm only able to successfully utilize external displays if I completely shut down the laptop. Unplug and plug-in the display adapter I want to use, make sure the external display is on, and then cold boot the machine. If I follow this scenario I'm able to consistently utilize various adapters for external displays. If I unplug the USB-C display adapter after successfully following this procedure, I'm not able to recover the display by plugging the adapter back in and need to reboot again from off in order to regain use of an external display. This is somewhat less than convenient and not what I would expect from a modern laptop. There are many individuals experiencing the same problem with this laptop. General consensus indicates there may be some model-specific driver issues creating this problem.
I wonder if anyone at Intel or in this forum can offer suggestions on what's happening to prevent external display recognition except at boot up and what resolution may entail as the issue has existed for several weeks with lots of discussion on Lenovo's forum with no resolution.
As described in the guidelines for Graphics questions here is further information about the issue and my specific device:

Intel UHD Graphics 630 many issues
I built a new system together. Based on the new Intel Coffe Lake CPU Core i7 8700, with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630. And the ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-H Gaming Mainboard with newest Bios Version.
Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is up to date. Also, the official Intel driver for the iGPU is installed (15.47.02.4815).
However, many Software is not working properly at all. Like Example Cyberlinks Power Director 15+16 versions (on the current patch stand).
The preview in the timeline hangs constantly, and the image flickers constantly, or momentarily the Display goes completly black for a few seconds, and the software is not operable. Timeline playback stops or programs hang.
Furthermore, creating a BD disc is not possible because an error code is constantly being output. There are different error codes, including "eC0030106".
Before this - with the iGPU Intel HD Graphics 530 - everything ran smoothly.
Cyberlinks PowerDVD 17 (up to date) playback don't look smooth anymore, too.
Other Software which use the iGPU in Hardware didn't run well anymore. It looks like the iGPU Rendering doesn't work anymore.
All my Video Rendering Software like TMPENC didn't run with the Hardware Encoding of the iGPU (Intel UHD Graphics 630) anymore.
I have reinstalled Windows completly new, but nothing changes.
Is there anything changes in the driver ?!
When I use the Nvidia GTX1060 graphics card, there are no such problems at all.
I did not have any problems with all iGPU's before that, which is currently with the Intel UHD 630. The system runs very stable otherwise, even a test with Prime 95 did not cause any problems. Only when the iGPU becomes active, nothing works properly, as it should.
Is my Intel Graphics 620 compatible with the game "Perfect World"?
I have an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz. I've been playing a game called Perfect World and have been having issues that nobody else has been having. I am wondering if it's my graphics. The game is filled with many players and they appear invisible to me for the most part, with only their names appearing above their heads. It is the same for my friend and when we are doing a quest together, his avatar comes onto my screen from time to time, then disappears. He tells me that he sees all the players and that nobody is invisible. This happens all the time. The game has its own graphic settings, and the most that I have done is click on the optimize button that simply changes the look of the scenery.
Is my Processor compatible with this game? Andi if so, is the issues that I am having within the game a problem that can be fixed?
Thank you for your time.
Video Playback on TV is glitchy
I am running an i5-4200 with Intel Graphics 4400 on build 20.19.15.4835
Earlier this week I was running Civilization V and Rocket League fine on my Samsung TV. I had some sound issues, so I had to reinstall the driver. After reinstalling the driver, the screen flickers constantly while on Civilization V and black bars roll down my screen from top to bottom.
Any help would be appreciated. I have installed and reinstalled the driver many times. I know the problem isn't with the TV because my kids' HP (lower end) works fine on it and my computers works fine on it when I am just on the desktop.

graphics card replacement-Can I , & which intel one would you recommend?
Gentemen/ Ladies,
Once again I am writing for advices. Please first see the attached youtube video.
vertical line screen problem - YouTube
If I am not mistaken, i think my laptop's graphics card is dying, and needs a replacement. Since Intel makes great products, I would like to buy a intel graphics card to replace the famous faulty Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT. The question is, which one would you recommend?
My laptop Spec: Sony VAIO VGN-AR770
RAM: 4GB
SSD x2 = 500GB
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 Ghz
Intel RAID, currently setting RAID-0
Original OS Vista 32 bits Ultimate, now 64 bits Windows Pro SP1
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT
I ran the hardware diagnostic, the CPU is good, all other hardware(s) are also good, except "video section" which has a "error". I am trying to avoid a replacement of motherboard.
Thank you in advance,

External monitor recognized via HDMI cable but is blank.
Going nuts trying to get a new ASUS external monitor to work via HDMI cable with my Dell laptop. The Intel Graphics control panel recognizes the connection to the external monitor, identifies it correctly by brand and model, and allows me to adjust all the settings I would expect: refresh rate, resolution, output to clone/extended/laptop only/monitor only, etc. I can even move the mouse over to the extended monitor, take a screenshot, and see what the laptop 'thinks' it's displaying to the monitor. It's just that the monitor is blank, telling me HDMI1 (or HDMI2) NO SIGNAL.
Here's what I know / have tried
- Dell Inspiron 15R 5521
- Windows 10 with latest updates (today in fact)
- ASUS VE 278 LCD monitor
- Graphics Driver is Intel HD 4000 v10.18.10.4653
- I have uninstalled the above driver, deleted driver files, downloaded new files from Intel's website, and reinstalled the driver
- I've verified that the HDMI cable and ASUS monitor are functioning properly by attaching them to a different laptop
- I've verified that the Dell laptop in question has the same problem with a different external monitor
- I have not verified whether or not the Dell laptop in question will successfully display to an external monitor using a VGA connection (I'm ordering an HDMI-VGA adapter after I hit 'post' on this post.)
- I've tried every combination of power off/on, reboot, plug cable in, turn monitor off/on. Dozens of times. To the point that my lovely fiance questions my sanity.
- Here's the weirdest symptom that I've not seen in any of the research I've done on this issue: When I changed the refresh rate to 50p hz (not 50i hz), the Asus monitor showed a distorted, flickering display. I could see a crappy image of what was supposed to be there, take a normal screen shot, etc. This only happened at 50p, not 50i, 59p/i, or 60p/i. To kick the weirdness up a notch: After uninstalling/reinstalling the driver, THIS STOPPED, so now I just have a blank monitor. I mean the weird 50p behavior in this bullet stopped. Everything else is still as described.
- Intel's diagnostic utility text file attached.
- Between uninstall/reinstall of the Intel driver, I tried plugging the monitor in while the system was using the built-in graphics capability. My laptop wouldn't recognize it at all.
Thoughts, anyone?
Edit: Device manager 'monitors' is showing two Generic PnP Monitors. There should be just one generic PnP monitor plus the external monitor.
Edit2: Which is apparently normal as indicated by a little further research. Counter-intuitive, but normal.
